Arthritis can be very painful for people who suffer from the disease.  It can affect each individual differently.  Arthritis has been known to affect men and women and some types of arthritis can affect children also.

The symptoms of arthritis can be very frustrating, they can effect a sufferer’s daily activities and routine.  Some symptoms of arthritis is inflammation, stiffness, pain, restricted movement and in some cases immobility.  Fatigue, constipation, and mental stress are rarely talked about as symptoms of arthritis, but they are.

There are many treatments available for arthritis symptoms.  Some are conventional and others can be natural home remedies.  There is controversy as to the effect home remedies have on arthritis symptoms but sufferers who use these tips will swear by them.

There are other home remedies that are effective for treating symptoms of arthritis.  Soaking the affected joint in a warm Epsom bath, and exercising the joint in the bath can relieve stiffness, inflammation, and pain.

Eating a well balanced diet and keeping a healthy weight are not only good treatments for relieving arthritis symptoms, they are instrumental in preventing and curing the disease.   A well balanced diet consists of eating from the four major food groups.  Fruits and vegetables are fortified with vitamins and minerals that help keep the body nourished, balanced, and energized.

Exercise is another instrumental factor in relieving, maintaining, and preventing arthritis symptoms.  A 30 minute walk daily keeps the joints working freely.  Walking also can be a good stress reliever.  Keeping a healthy stress free mental state is a benefitting factor in keeping arthritis symptoms to a minimal.  It doesn’t have to be a walk, any 30 minute low impact exercises can be a good stress reliever, and helps maintain a healthy weight.

Many arthritis sufferers prefer to use some of these and other home remedies, as well as, natural oils, herbs, etc., to treat their symptoms over the conventional prescribed medications.  This is mainly because these treatments don’t have the side effects associated with conventional medicines.
